Roots of Personal Finance Member Spotlight: Natasha Grimm

Natasha Grimm is a "womentrepreneur" and loving mom to 3 four-legged fur babies she rescued. Her foray into credit card debt began when moving from Seattle to Austin, which she put on a credit card, expecting to pay it off after being reimbursed by her new job. Then two weeks after her move, she fractured her Tibia Plateau and her debt spiraled.

After struggling with zero-based budgeting and snowballing her debt for years, Natasha knew she needed some help. She feared paying off her debt and then getting right back into it. After hearing Brad speak about Roots of Personal Finance, she was ready. "Roots was a commitment for the behaviors I anticipated being a challenge to break."

Consistency is key for Natasha when it comes to her finances. Although she still struggles with spending money on food (don't we all?), Roots has helped her pay off more than $7,600 in two months.

Natasha's biggest accomplishment, however, was being able to walk out of her full-time job with the support of Roots and its resources. She's also started a retirement plan since leaving her job.

The best piece of financial advice from Natasha, "It only works if you do."
